Renamed from Willow Park after renovation, Redwood Canyon Golf Course runs along San Leandro Creek through a redwood-lined canyon setting that makes it one of the most visually distinctive public courses in the East Bay. Nearly every hole demands target accuracy due to creek proximity and tight tree corridors. At $22–$48, it offers among the best value-per-scenery ratios in the region.

Corica Park is the most significant public golf renovation story in the Bay Area this decade. The South Course, reconstructed by Rees Jones in 2018, is a classic sandbelt links track with large flat bunkers, natural fescue fairways, and complex putting surfaces — legitimately one of the top public courses in Northern California. The North Course, redesigned by Robert Trent Jones II, reopened in March 2025 after a complete rebuild.
